I vote 1: the castle is the best choice for a wedding because not only does it have romance and danger twisted into one but it also would signify the union of two families, two houses, and two lineages joining together under finally one household. It's perfect.

I would definitely say #1 because the setting just fits into the story very well and its romantic looking. But i guess i'm late in voting but, who cares no one can stop me from voting! Not even Lucius!!

1. I have to say the castle, not only is it the most beatuful place there but it is the most romantic. Yea he had bad times there and he got beat up. He did defeat his uncle there and he got power and got rid of the man that was turning to a monster. 3 - Because the castle seems so dark, and Jess is trying to bring out the better, and softer side of Lucius, I think the castle would be a bad idea. And a cave also sounds dark and morbid. Wow. I think this is a hard choice, all of the them are great places to pick from! But if I really had to narrow it down to the most meaning, I would have to go with 3. As you said, it's ragged with rocks, and their relationship together isn't going to be easy. It means a fresh start, but they know it's not going to be easy. It really was hard picking though! 2# or 3#. I think number two would be good because that was when they were pledged to each other, but more importantly because that was when her parents first really became her parents. I don't think that the castle would be such agood idea considered the dark things that they would rather not dwell on that happened there. Not like those things that happened should be forgotten, but I think they would rather have a wedding, which joins their clans, in a nuetral place other than her family's castle or his. Imagine how uncomfortable the clans might feel. It would be forcing them on each other a bit early instead of giving them a lot of time to accept each other. Jessica and Lucius both seem to care a lot about their families (in their own detached way), and would want all of them to feel comfortable with each other and ease into a good relationship slowly. Being smack in a castle wouldn't really help, niether would the castle. I think outside would be best then! I'm sure that whatever they do will turn out awesomely!

2 in the beginning i was gonna choose the castle (which girl wouldn't) but the cave thing has more meaning because its where it all began so definitely number 2!!!!!!

#3 definitely. #1 and #2 both hold negative connotations in my opinion. While it could be nice to "wipe the slate clean" at Vladescu castle with such a positive event, it's not neutral territory. In my opinion, it'd be one more way the Vladescu's would be saying "yes, we're united, but we're still better because there's no way we'd have this wedding at your crappy castle." And #2 is the place where a deal was made to secure the future of two vampire clans. There was no love involved, only duty. And this marriage (in my opinion) is full of love and sanctifying it in the cavern would only remind Jess and Lucius that (though they may love each other now) their marriage was born out of a need for security and to stop the power struggles. #3 holds none of these negative connotations, will not indicate either family is more powerful than the other, and will help cement the idea that this marriage is not just convenient.

i say #2 sounds more romantic in a way and i like it caus ethats were they did sign the pact that said that lucius and antanasia would marry each other. #3 also sounds good, but i would say a big no for #1, cause i think lucius wouldn't want to be reminded about his dark past on his wedding day.

The mountains are beautiful but they also hold no real connection there, yes Lucius grew up there but Jess did not. The cave is the place Lucius and Jess where betrothed to each other, the cave should most definitely be the place they get married.

1 after looking at the other places I had to choose the castle. It's where their life will be taking place and it will be a way to erase some of the bad in Lucius' childhood. He already did that when he decided to be with Antanasia even though that was where he killed his uncle. I think the castle would be a dream for Antanasia and a way for them to push through all the bad and move on to the future happiness and challenges. They already had one huge challenge in that castle, lets make a great memory now. Please choose the castle!!

3. The rugged landscape. It is the least "historically" significant (and trust me, as a historian, I'm sad about that), but I think that the whole point of Jessica's Guide was the fresh, special, all-but-impossible hope for love and trust among a race that lacked both. Therefore, I think that the wedding itself would be highly symbolic for all vampires everywhere. Yes, I understand why the clans should reconcile, but this is bigger than her clan and his. THIS IS ALL VAMPIREDOM that needs to unite and stop hatin'. It should be someplace new, UNBURDENED by the past. It should be somewhere that is open to the world, something that literally "shouts to the mountiantops" the new idea of hope.... not hidden in a cave or a castle. On a purely asthetic level, caves are kinda gross. Potentially beautiful, but there's that yellow mold all over, and people could get killed by stalagmites or fall down holes...And candles suck oxygen, which already is limited in a cave. As a human, reading about a place where oxygen is sucked....kinda sucks. I can't say anything bad about the castle. It's really pretty, but I think that it's just a bit too dark for a wedding. I know that it could help "change the image"...but for anyone who's ever experienced anything super tramatic...the image never goes away. Even if his wedding was there, it wouldn't change all the bad stuff that went down. You can't just make those memories go away.

1. 1. Well first of all I have to say I love the three options, they are really great!!And for that reason is hard choose only one…so I took my time to think about it. My first choice when I saw the blog was: the cave, I thought there was “the beginning” of the story and a special place, but later I thought, well yes, it was a great idea but… the cave is the place where their parents chose their destiny together, not them…and then I knew it, THE place is the castle, the castle is perfect for their wedding because there was where they really chose to be together, they chose fought for their love, they chose accepted each other just like they really are with the best and the worst of them and they chose a forever together.... I love when people really choose their destiny and Jessica and Lucius did, in the Vladescu’s Castle :). Besides the castle is very very beautiful, and elegant, and mysterious, and majestic, and… a lot like Lucius :P, and Jessica loves everything about Lucius even his dark side. And finally I have to say that the castles are places with gardens, ponds, secrets rooms…it could be a lot of fun :D. Anyway, the castle is perfect to me but the others places are great too, so anything you choose will be perfect :).

Though his childhood was not great nor are his memories of that ploace why not make a good one. Make the wedding almost a new beginning of sorts, a start to happiness....... or an end to it all.

1 I absolutely love the idea of having the wedding at the Vladescu Castle! It's a rich, elegant setting for the marriage of two royal vampires who deeply love each other.

2. I think there is a certain raw and untouched beauty about the cave. And that this is where they were promised to each other makes it sentimental and, I think, the perfect choice. It might not be most couples dream spot, but Jess and Lucious aren't like most couples.

1- it was a difficult choice because the mountains would be great but i dont know how nice it would be, while a castle is perfect and they could bring love into their home instead of sadness and hurt!

1. I liked this choice because who doesn't want to get married in a castle?

1 - For some odd reason, I really enjoy angry and angsty Lucius. I'm not sure why, but I do. Plus, the description of the castle in the first book takes my breath away.

#1-Castle Even though it has some darkness to, I think it would be romantic and beautiful to have the wedding there. It was not only the place where they reunited and became one at the end of the first book but also should be the place where they begin their happiness and leave all the dark shadow of their past behind them. A new beginning as already put but other.

#2, because the cave is the place were they signed the treaty, so there bond started there, it should end there.

#3 - Mountains

3!!!!!--I think that the Carpathian mountains is the most suitable place for their marriage. The place looks romantic and really cool especially fo vampires. The castle is just full of bad memories for Lucious while the cave is very spooky in the picture....

#1 The Castle because I think it would also help bring peace to the family, by Lucius opening his home to everyone. The wedding would also bring a happy event to his already sad childhood. The Castle is really grand and romantic.

1- That's where Jessica and Lucius are spending their life together, so it would fit that they are married there too. Plus, Jessica is a new chapter in Lucius' life and he will end the sadness of his childhood.

Root for #1 - Gothic castle as this is the place whereby they will be starting their future together and bury whatever unhappiness happened before. Place fit for royalties and Jessica deserve a grand wedding. And the castle will now have fond memories for Lucius to remember and to live with then to detest. :)

#1 i say this one because it is very beautiful and instead of thinking of it as dark place, having their wedding there would make them think of the joy and the love they had on thier wedding day when they are older.

2 Cave I think Lucius and Jessica have already begun to build happy memories in the castle, so I chose the cave. The cave is important to the vampire families, which is evident by the fact that the betrothal ceremony was held there. The cave is where the Lucius/Jessica relationship began. Also, my husband (who knows next to nothing about the book) says the cave sounds more vampire-like.

1 I think the fact that so much bad has happened in the castle makes it not the happiest place to live. If they have the wedding there, they would have new memories and it would make it a happy living space.

And it would correspond perfectly with there difficult relationship from the beggining rocky but still overwelming and beautiful throughout! So i think that it would be the right place to mark the starting of their new lives together.

1. The Gothic Castle. Even though the castle is filled with Lucius deppest act and his bad childhood, they can now replace those ugly memories with the good ones. It's the place where jessica turns into a vampire and the place where they said I love you to each other. They both had a history together in the castle. Everytime lucius see the castle it is no longer a house of death but a house full of love and happiness with his wife, jessica. It's also convenient for the guests, the castle is big enough for everybody and no hiking to caves or mountains. The castle is beautiful and it's a place where they can call home. =D

3 - The Carpathian mountains are perfect - a spot with no past history for the couple, but inexorably tied to the life they are undertaking. As a bonus, it's a spot that's both unusual for a wedding and intensely romantic.

In every story I've written or imagined, a gothic castle sets an incredibly unique, romantic, and eerie mood- perfect for vampires. By far, the Gothic Castle is my choice for the wedding of a century. Also, I'd like to be married in one some day ;) PS: Please write the sequel!!!

#3. Why? It is a neutral setting. The cave may be a long standing mutual site, but their marriage starts an all new future for all vampires. Thus, a new neutral beautiful setting is a must. Plus, down the road new vampires might want to cause trouble, so why invite everyone into Jess and Luc's home? This could cause vulnerability for Jess. Remember that is what Luc was so worried about in the first place. He kept stating how it will be difficult to protect her from rivals? Think practical, not just romantic. In the same sense, as long as they are together and happy, I'll accept whatever choice becomes number one.

2 To honor their parents' memory, because that way Jessica and Lucius shows their respect and gratitude to them.

#3----- It was a hard choice, however. I wanted to say #1, but it already has a history- Lucius's history, not any of Jessica's. It was not "mutual" enough to start a life together. Plus, how would all the Dragomirs feel about stepping onto the old enemies place. Just seems like a way to end one battle, but start a new one. Number two was out of the picture right away for me... Traditional?! Since when have our two lovebirds been traditional?! Once grew up in America, for petes sakes! So, this leaves me with the mountains. Pictureque, eh? :D

1. the Vladescu castle would be the perfect place it's so beautiful! even though Luscius has a rough childhood in it, his wedding to Jessica would be the start of a new beginning; a happy beginning.

Carpathian Mountains While getting married in the Vladescu home would help to unsoil the bad memories there, I think they're too ingrained to lift completely and the chance for tainting such a happy moment is too high. As for the cave, aside from the fact it's a cave, it's the place where Lucius and Jessica were forced together. Yes, it ended up they wanted to be together but they didn't end up together because of a pact signed in a cave. They chose it. So no go on the cave.

3, the mountains

1-It's obvious it's the best place. Even though there are bad memories for Lucius from the past in that castle, it's where Jessica and Lucius shared their most intimate moment, and Lucius finally admitted that he could never hurt her because he loved her therefore leading them to get married. Plus, some people don't think they should get married in the castle because of Lucius's memories, but since they're going to live there for the rest of eternity, why not put one of the happiest moments of their lives into that castle so they can live there forever with that wonderful memory always surrounding them? Definitely number 1!!!

To be married in the castle would be sad, a place of pain for lucius and not a fresh start. The cave is cool and I can see the romantic aspect of it but in the end it really ended up being their choice to be together and not the contract.

1 I had a hard time deciding between 1 and 3 but settled on 1. The reason for this is I think that if they are going to be living there, the bad stuff's got to be canceled out. This would be the perfect thing.

NUMERAL 1 I had to take a second to chose between the castle and the cave... but in the end the castle won because I just couldn't see the whole wedding in a cave thing. I totally understand the connection it has to their past but I definitely say the castle!

He can start his new life with Jessica by giving the castle a new meaning to each of them. It is also where they both finally pledged themselves to each other forever.

Oh definitely the cave. The symbolism of their union taking place at the same place where they were pledged to each other is important. Besides, you could really drape the walls with some white tulle and make it into something.

2, i see no one else likes the cave. well Personaly i like the cave it seems more personal plus it has shown successful in the past and i don't see why not now. And techinicaly it was the begginng of them when their parents decided on this marriage.
